The Now Habit
I'm a procrastinator. I only say that in the same sense that the reformed alcoholic still acknowledges his disease. I may gain some level of control over it, but I still have those tendencies that I must watch or they will take over my entire life.
The best discipline I've learned is the Now Habit.
First, allow me to explain what the Now Habit is not. It is not an intricate system of rewards I set up personally basically get certain tasks done. Those have never worked for me. Due to the fact I am the one responsible for administering those rewards.

Basically want those rewards badly enough, I have been known to just take the reward without doing the job beforehand. Bad, bad, bad.
Exactly what the Now Habit is, is a method of keeping my mind in our. I procrastinate when I fool myself into believing I can perform the "dreaded thing" later. That's living in the future.
I also often get recorded on myself for not doing the "dreaded thing" sooner. What exactly happens is the fact that instead of congratulating myself after i finally get to work on it, I blast myself because I ought to considerably farther along than I'm.
the now habit
Living in the current is the best way to get things done. To help keep my thoughts on the now, I use affirmations. I repeat, "do it now," or "I will act now" to myself again and again the whole day. Sometimes I've even write these affirmations down ten or twenty times each day, particularly when I was trying to build this habit.
There is an old saying (which if any reader can send me the origin, I would like to give that individual proper credit) saying:
Sow a concept, reap an act.
the now habit by neil fiore
Sow an action, reap a habit.
Sow a habit, reap a destiny.
These affirmations are my way of creating a habit. A now habit which will force the competing procrastination habit from my entire life.
Build the now habit. Discover the now affirmations that resonate along with you and repeat them countless times each day. Like all habits, in A 3 week period it will likely be entrenched in your consciousness. Reap your own destiny.
